【メッセージ】

Q：症状がないのだけれど…？
・感染のきっかけがあった場合、男性では症状がなくても3割の方が淋菌もしくはクラミジアに感染していたという報告があるため、症状がなくても安心とは言えません
・梅毒は症状がないことも多く、診断には血液検査が必要です（梅毒は日本でも増えてきており、もう珍しい病気ではなくなりました）
・オーラルセックスに伴う淋菌の咽頭感染の多くは無症状で咽頭の発赤も認めないことが多く、PCR検査での確認が必要です（咽頭感染は検査して初めてわかることが多いです、経験のある方はうがい液での検査を勧めております）

• Our semen analysis is highly accurate, performed manually by experienced lab technicians.
• If you are visiting in the morning, please be aware that minor surgery may be taking place. Booking an appointment in advance will help minimize wait times.

About the Bridal and Preconception Checks

• These are screenings to assess your reproductive health for future family planning.
• Credit card payment is available for these services.
• There is no need to return to the clinic for results; a single visit for testing is sufficient.
• It is important for both partners to be tested for STIs as part of the Bridal/Preconception Check process.
  
• As there is no physician consultation, the tests (e.g., urine, blood, oral rinse) can be taken discreetly and comfortably by both men and women.
• Our semen analysis is conducted without automated machines to ensure high accuracy, assessing not only sperm count and motility but also morphology and vitality per WHO standards.
• STI testing is done using high-accuracy PCR testing, not testing kits.

Our Semen Analysis and STI Testing

Semen Analysis: At our clinic, we do not rely on automated analyzers. Instead, our experienced laboratory technicians conduct manual assessments following WHO guidelines, evaluating not just total sperm count and motility, but also sperm morphology, viability, and presence of inflammatory cells—parameters often not assessed by standard automated methods.

STI Testing: Our sexually transmitted infection tests (for gonorrhea, chlamydia, mycoplasma, trichomonas, etc.) are performed using highly accurate PCR testing, not simple test kits. This ensures precision and reliability in your results.

If you wish to discuss the test results with a physician later, an in-person consultation is possible for an additional fee of ¥3,300.

Often required for both partners when undergoing fertility treatments such as IUI or IVF.

Set D (for All Genders)👈

• Contents: Gonorrhea & Chlamydia (Genital & Oral; PCR)
• Samples: Urine & Oral Rinse
• Fee: ¥6,600 (tax included)
• Result Delivery: Via app with physician comments. No additional fee for app usage.

Recommended especially for women.
This test checks for gonorrhea and chlamydia not only in the genital area but also in the throat (oral transmission through oral sex).
If an infection is found, insurance-covered treatment is available at our clinic without the need for retesting.

You may also choose to test for only genital or only oral infections.

Optional Add-On: Mycoplasma & Ureaplasma Testing

• Mycoplasma (2 strains, PCR) + Ureaplasma (2 strains, PCR): ¥8,800 (tax included)

This can be added to Preconception Check Set D, or ordered alone.
To request only this test, please book Set D and write “Mycoplasma + Ureaplasma only” in the comment section. We will confirm your preference at reception when you visit.

This test screens for four bacterial species:

• Mycoplasma genitalium (M. genitalium)
• Mycoplasma hominis (M. hominis)
• Ureaplasma urealyticum (U. urealyticum)
• Ureaplasma parvum (U. parvum)

These organisms are associated with conditions such as urethritis, prostatitis, vaginitis, male infertility, miscarriage, preterm birth, cervicitis, and pelvic peritonitis. Treatment is recommended if any are detected.

Sexually transmitted Infections – Full Check (for All Genders)👈

Screening Process

1. Visit the Clinic for testing (no medical consultation required).
2. Sample Collection (urine, blood, oral rinse, semen as applicable).
3. Return Home — it’s a one-time visit.
4. Results will be shared later via our secure app.

You do not need to return to the clinic to receive your test results.

 

FAQs

Q: I don’t have any symptoms — do I still need testing?
A: Yes. Even asymptomatic individuals can be infected. For example, 30% of men with gonorrhea or chlamydia may show no symptoms. Syphilis is often silent, and oral STIs may not show visible signs. Testing is key to early detection.

Q: What if I test positive?
A: If an infection is identified through a Bridal or Preconception Check, insurance-covered treatment is available at our clinic. No retesting is required.

STI screenings should be done by both partners — if both test negative, that’s wonderful. If an issue is found, both can begin treatment together.
